Playing the American Roulette Wheel
American roulette is being played by releasing the ball in a spinning wheel, in slots or fitted pockets. The ball will stop on a slot with corresponding numbers as soon as the wheel stop spinning. Players who placed their bets in the numbers on which the ball landed wins the game.
An American wheel has 38 numbers which include a single-zero, double zero, and those numbers from 1 to 36. this kind of roulette is different from European roulette because of the presence in the double-zero.
The numbers marked in the wheel in American roulette is not randomly arranged nor arranged in an increasing order. Instead, manufacturers decided to order the numbers in a fashion in which there is equal probability that the ball will land on the black, red, high, low, odd numbers and even numbers.
The arrangement in an American roulette wheel follows a manner where the red and black numbers are arranged faced to face alternately. The odd and even numbers are also alternated but their position is identical and in pairs and faces each, instead of singles/ the odd numbers are marked subsequently to the even numbers in an increasing order. Lastly, the number in a roulette wheel always come in pairs with one number inserted between them. When you add up all the numbers, you would have a total of 39 or 37 and the sum of all the 38 numbers will equate to 666. to avoid confusion, the single zero and double zeros in the wheel are positioned just beside the green pockets found on the American roulette wheel.
In betting in an American roulette, it is expected that you will have a total of 11 kinds of bet. The table you wish to play on is carefully designed and arranged depending on the layout of the roulette wheel. The wheel has a total of 38 numbers that are arranged into 3 number rows and 12 number of columns. When you make a bet inside the columns or rows, that is called an inside bet. The last five bets that you can make are called the outside bets. They may come in red, black, high or low, odd or even and they can also come in a set of numbers in the column dozen which is a 12 number range.
There is a special rule that apply in an American roulette wheel. This is what we call "surrender" or often times it is referred to as "La Partage". This cuts the advantage of the house to 2.63% which is almost half the total house advantage.
